I am an artist and educator based in Washington state whose work investigates the physical, social and psychological relationships between humans and environment.
I make jewelry, drawings, studio sculpture, site integrated and playable works at parks and schools, freestanding sculptures for civic agencies and publicly accessible interior work for private clients. I have developed and taught educational programs that reveal connections between nature and culture while deepening learning about critical thinking, visual literacy, and public art. In addition, I have written, designed and illustrated integrated site master plans and interpretive signs.
As a craftsperson, I am excited about how materials add to narratives within the work and invite sensory connections. I am skilled in metal, glass, concrete, resin and wood, as well as natural, ephemeral, and reclaimed materials. I bring curiosity about the way that art exists and changes with light, weather, the grown environment and human interaction.
